POWHATAN VILLAGE

Powhatan I built in 1978 and Powhatan II built in 1982 are two-bedroom apartments in Powhatan Village, bordering on the west side of campus, just a short amble from the Elizabeth River boardwalk, sand volleyball court, barbecue grills and sailing center. They are also right across the street from the tennis courts and the Health and Physical Education Facilities.

Each apartment is designed with a carpeted living and dining area, a full kitchen and one and a half baths. Powhatan houses four students (only sophomores and up) and includes local telephone service and cable television. All are fully furnished with single beds, desks, chest of drawers, a dining table and chairs, a couch, wing chairs, coffee and end tables, trash cans and a lamp. The complex offers a central front desk, community room with a full kitchen and a study lounge, two large laundry rooms, vending machines and covered bike areas.

Residents living in Powhatan Apartments are not required to be on a meal plan.  If you would like to purchase a meal plan, please visit the Card Center's website for more information.
